Indoor Team Building
Team building indoors may sound boring to some people. We cannot blame them for that, traditionally, indoor team building = activity, followed by long story by the trainer, next activity, followed by another long story, followed by another activity, the next long story… and hey… the time is up!
Team building with änergy, whether indoors or outdoors, is revolving around games. Our indoor team buidling games are designed to be interesting, exciting and even addictive! Most important of all, you will not feel like you are going through a course. Over the years, our games are also fine tuned with the help of participants from all over the world. Most of the time, our team building participants feel as if they are participating in a game show.
Of course, team building cannot be only about fun and games. At änergy, we adopt the experiential learning methodology, where participants play our team building games, then reflect on their behaviour. We will also make observations and through the debrief, we will be able to reinforce positive behaviours and give suggestions for areas of improvements.
Indoor team building will enable us to use different media to reach out to the participants, like LCD projector and other AV equipment. It is also more contained and there will be lesser distractions. Indoor team building is also (usually) less physical, as there is air conditioning and we are sheltered from the sun. Some participants get very tired even when doing simple activities under the sun. When team building large group sizes, we will always try to include some indoor games or games that can be played under shelter.
However, we also have to understand that indoor team building may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Some participants feel that it is better to go outdoors as most of them have office bound jobs and a team building event is a great opportunity to go to the great outdoors. The air is also fresher if the team building is held in a park.
Whatever the case, we have to clear the misconception that indoor team building is boring. Indoor team building can be interesting, effective and a whole lot of fun!
